I have practiced law in Vermont since 1978 and have been based in Rutland since 1986. My focus is in civil litigation doing personal injury cases and professional negligence cases of all types with an emphasis on major injuries and wrongful death cases. I also have considerable expertise in construction law, having been a contractor, representing both contractors and businesses dealing with construction issues. I also have many business clients that I have developed through litigation and provide business advice and risk management advice to them as well as handle major contract negotiations for them.

I have been practicing law in Vermont since 1998. My legal practice focus is on litigation relating to personal injury, automobile accidents, family law and workers compensation. I also have experience with construction law, school law, employment law, toxic torts, property/boundary disputes, consumer fraud, professional malpractice and commercial contract disputes. I also have a mediation practice where I act as a mediator. After practicing and teaching law in Seattle for five years, I returned to my home state of Vermont in 2005. I have an active litigation practice focusing on personal injury cases, business and property disputes, and serious felony criminal matters. I believe in bringing Vermont values to my cases. In the past two years, I have achieved positive results for my clients - either at trial or through settlement -- in a number of complicated land disputes, automobile accident cases, medical malpractice actions, and serious criminal matters. As Legal Assistant I work primarily in the areas of real estate, business transactions, and estate planning and administration. I also help out in litigation as well as employment and school law matters. My background is real estate.
